Jasmine Green Tea- Iced

While I have been indulging in iced toddies and caffeinated cold brews around town. At home in the apartment I prefer to sip on iced green tea. Nothing complicated just brew 4 quarts of jasmine green tea, let it steep, then cool down before placing in fridge. Pour over ice and enjoy. This latest batch is brewed from FooJoy Yin Hao Jasmine Green found at Uwajimaya and we picked up the 4 quart glass jar at the Gateway Fred Meyer for $8. Cheers!

Pantone 109 U

In New York, Bill Cunningham is talking blue, but here in Rose City the topic is yellow. Pops of yellow in accessories are brightening up this season's sartorial decisions and sorry excuse for summer.

And now the hue has penetrated my medicine cabinet. Voila! Contact lens case by Pantone Universe the color: 109 U. An even brighter excuse to slip off the specs in the morning. Rise and shine.

Mississippi Flea

Granted the only item we purchased was a coconut SolPops but it was fun to check out the first Mississippi Flea. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. xo

In preparation for the weekend. Sometimes it just feels good to put everything in its place.

Inspiration with Seeds + Pits

Turns out that my late summer palette (besides the achromatic staples) is derived from the produce section. Appetizing, no?

Rachel Mara Sample Sale

We Portlanders have a busy weekend ahead of us here. Between PDX Pop Now, the Mississippi Flea, Alley 33 Fashion Show, a Nau Warehouse Sale, and Kenny & Zuke's Pickle Throwdown, there is sure to be something on your agenda. However if your weekend warrior plate isn't too full, I would suggest hoping over to the Pearl to check out Moulé and the Rachel Mara Sample Sale.

Monday Lunch

A busy day of errand running leaves a lady awfully hungry. Here was today's solution to hunger pains.

This tasty bowl of sashimi was prepared and consumed at Tani's on Woodstock. Yum!

Summer Jacket Craving

While taking a break from the latest sewing project, I was surfing-slash-shopping the web for summer jacket ideas. It has only been in the 60s here, which isn't exactly warm enough for yours truly to leave the house sans outerwear. Check out my current jacket crush by Apiece Apart from Frances May.

Straight From the Mending Pile

A couple of flirty numbers that needed a new hem for a friend of mine...

And one who needed a little shoulder patching...

Summer Essentials

San Pellegrino- for the hydration. It is chic and currently on sale at Zupan's.

Silk Scarves- the perfect accessory to tie in a dash of sophistication to any ensemble. My current obsession is with warmer colors. Found in vintage shops around town.

NutriBiotic Body & Foot Powder- because wearing flats and converse can leave behind a less than desirable scent. The powder helps keep your tootsies fresh. Available at Whole Foods.

Retro Inspired Shades- because the sun never sets on a cool cat. I have been coveting these lovelies, the 'Number One' by Karen Walker.

Mario Badescu Aloe Moisturizer with SPF 15- for moisture and sun protection that is virtually fragrance free. Available at Blush Beauty Bar.

Fidji E162- current summer shoe craving and in yellow! Available at Imelda's.

Domestic Duties

Every once and again, it is so refreshing to be caught up on household chores. Here is a little sample of what keeps me going when my allies are Soft Scrub and Mop-N-Glo.

Good luck with the rest of the week.

Azzurro Sale

Sadly, Azzurro, one of my favorite stores in town, is going to be closing its doors near the end of the month. On the bright side there is still time to catch them and pick up a few Parisian gems before they take off. From now until the 25th of July everything is 50% off. So, if you were looking for some european accents, cards or trinkets head over to their location at-
1500 NW 18th Ave #110.

Bon Voyage.

Weekend Ready

Once again I must apologize for my behavior. The latest excuse for the lack of updated posts is a combination of vacation, returning stuck in vacation mode and sewing projects. On the bright side my mending and to-do pile is dwindling: (translation- more time for blog posts).

As I was saying, sewing projects have been rather time consuming lately and I wanted to share with you the latest creation: a pair of custom short-shorts for a client. High-wasted denim beauties that even Gidget would be proud to sport. Like the detail in the pockets? A dash of secret flare.

Enjoy the weekend and the sun.
