Wedding Favor Tote

Last Saturday the hus and I attended our friends' wedding along the Sandy River.  Complete with hula hoops, pulled pork, teepee photo booth and dance party.  What fun we had.  Unfortunately the mosquito bites are still hanging around.  On the bright side so is this tote!  Isn't it an awesome wedding favor?  Hip and practical.

PS Congrats again, DT + NS.

Latest Dress Craving

The Marcie Dress by Diane von Furstenberg, $375. www.dvf.com

Monday...

Fall is just around the corner and the fashion industry is vamping it up with color and Kate Moss on the cover of this year’s September Issue.  Before opening up this glossy 758-page work of beauty, I wanted to make a few predictions of my own: This year, the move is bold (September is the equivalent of January on the fashion calendar).  Think color, un-muted.  Think direct, intentional shapes and silhouettes.  Think big accessories.  Think drama.  Entrances and embraces.

Ok, we'll be in touch... But until then check out some additional Vogue covers featuring Kate Moss...

Mid-August Uniform

For the past few days strolling around downtown, the Pearl, and the Park Blocks (both North and South) it seems that every third female between the ages of 14 to 40 is dressed in this fashion.

The look: denim high-waisted short shorts paired with a wider neckline tee plus, espadrilles or sandals of choice.  Not pictured are the shades nor the iced caffeinated beverage.

Walk To + Through the South Park Blocks

My sincere apologies for the tardiness of this post.  The excuse: today was my day off this week and I opted to spend it window shopping and strolling downtown.  Not that you are not a priority... summer is slipping away...

Arm Bling

Recently the idea of the "arm party" as mentioned by the Man Repeller, has prompted me to invent a few scenarios.  Disregarding my teenage years of beads, cuffs, and dangles, I am not accustomed to wearing more than a few pieces of bling on a daily basis.  Just the stand-bys: ring, watch, and two pairs of tiny glass plugs.

Today, however, was a day for dress up.  I mean who else wouldn't want to spend the last few hours of free-time on a Monday afternoon adorning their wrists?

Heres what I came up with...

Frosty Bubble Tea
 Pickathon Prerequisite
Pockes of Posies
Taco Cart
Midnight Summer TexMex
VitaSea Wrap
 Raiders of the Jewelry Box
 Jade Dim Sum

A Tiki Tuesday

Yesterday my staple coffee shop went fishing.  So, I had to seek inferior caffeinated beverages elsewhere in the neighborhood.  The sad part: I knew it was going to happen.  I just couldn't believe it or didn't want to.  But then again everybody needs a day off and a chance to play hooky every once in a awhile.  It keeps you sane.

In lou of an afternoon cold brew, I met up with my friend kevin to partake in another form of a vacation.  You guessed it.  We went down to the recently returned corporate tiki phenomenon, Trader Vic's.  Mayor Sam Adams did declare August "Tiki Month" here in Rose City.  Let's just say we were being team spirited.  Once inside, passed the fountain and the host station we sidled up to the bar, consumed a couple of Mai Tai's and Kevin drank out of a ceramic coconut.  Aloha!
