Heartthrobs + Heartaches

Thanks for holding...One of the many reasons I have been so busy lately is that I have been working on my very first solo art show, a collection of collages. Interested? Well, it is on display for the month of June at Tiga (corner of NE 15th and Prescott). So go check it out.

Heartthrobs + Heartaches

Is a collection of vignettes discerning moments when the beat of one’s heart is abnormal. It is the skipping and yearning for glamour, lust and fame accompanied by the stopping once the reality settles in. It is the hits, the now, the desire. Everything that was supposed to be film and rock and roll. Everything one conceived it to be. A place of existence so dissimilar from your bedroom, homework and cassettes. The possibilities ahead: sneaking out the window without looking back.

Happy Valentine's Day

After my first trip to the Oregon Zoo on Saturday we stopped into Powell's Books to avoid the afternoon drizzle. (Our drop into Powell's actually coincides with the search of another item, but that post we will save for another day).

Anyhow, now, where was I? Oh, right, Powell's Books. The problem with ducking into Powell's is that 9 times out of 10 I don't leave empty handed. Regardless, this recent find is a gem under 6 dollars, which I am sure you can all appreciate.

And without further ado my Valentine's gift to you...

A few of the pages from my recent purchase titled God's Gift: Over 100 Studs, Stallions, and Dreamboats form the 70s and 80s.

Bon Appétit.
