Going Bandanas

One of my favorite canine accessories is the bandana. It instantly makes the dog appear more fun-loving and friendly.

I suppose the inspiration for this post is due to the fact that I am wearing a bandana today while I tidy up the apartment. As the silk scarf was a bit of accessory overload.

Meanwhile I am taking a break from my chores to google "dogs wearing bandanas." Here are some of the image search results. Enjoy.

I just want to clarify that the search words once again were "dogs wearing bandanas."
Luckily Monday is almost over.

Coworker's Tee

Yesterday I had to go into work early for a staff meeting. Being a member of the service industry I rarely have the opportunity to see my coworkers sporting anything other than all black. Which is why this post is dedicated to a coworker of mine and the awesome t-shirt he wore to our employee meeting yesterday.

Transforming Astrology

According to some astronomers the earth's axis has tilted over the last 3000 years. Such a physical shift results in the debunking of the astrological signs. In fact some astronomers even argue that there exists a new sign, a thirteenth sign (scary music commence)!

I know that this news was like so three weeks ago, but seeing as astronomy has been around for quite some time, I figured a slight delay in producing my findings wouldn't cause too much of an upset.

The "new" sign is Ophiuchus. And according to the newly plotted zodiac this new sign would be my sun sign. However since we are all transforming the universe I am going to say nay and proclaim my new sign to be Optimus-Prime. I just think it seems not only more exciting and powerful but just plain radical. So what's your new sign going to be?

Domestic Life

Yesterday a coworker asked me, "Now, that you are married are you going to become more domestic? You know more domestic in the sense that you are going to be cooking more and taking care of the house?"

My response was a shrug.

Regardless, as I write this post there is laundry in the dryer, the dishes are washed, and all of the obvious dust bunnies have been laid to rest. Being the modern domestic that I am, or at least might aspire to be, I did what every reasonable homemaker would do. I shopped for a new futon cover on Overstock.com. And viola a bright yellow one. Winter in the Northwest never looked so good.

PS... I am figuring out a camera situation at the moment so in the meantime enjoy my illustrations.

Staying Warm on a Sick Day

Just a little sketch of myself on the not-so-fun-ton yesterday staying warm with the Christmas present from my boss around my neck. Italian scarves are so beautiful.

Oh, and thanks for all the phone calls and emails. Turns out I am not the only one suffering from "the plague."*

As Promised...

After many a festivity and waking up yesterday with a ring on my finger I am back and ready for more blog action. Well almost. A slight fever, the chills and a cough have left me hopping from bed to couch and from Netflix to Google. Thank goodness for jasmine tea and Woody Allen. Anyhow, due to my current physical state the post for today is from Gemma Correll's etsy store. After all, if a pug can't cheer you up then I don't know what can. Oh, and check out her website, gemmacorrell.com, so fun.

Winter Break

Now that the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season is behind us I have a few projects of my own to catch up on. Translation: I am taking a break from the blog until the 18th of January so stay tuned.

Cheers!
