Walking by the Keller Auditorium Fountain yesterday, these sun bathers are anything but concerned about their fall wardrobe.

Driftwood Consignment, Seattle
After being shot up to the top of the Space Needle, riding the Monorail and crossing over the skybridge of Macy’s we climbed down 6 flights of stairs through a parking garage and were heading back to our hotel and I spotted this consignment shop. Driftwood Consignment in Seattle is a gem. It is not over stocked nor is it over priced. They have great designer labels and all of the garments were in next to new, if not off-the-rack condition. I scored an awesome Brooks Brothers sweater for $18. (It also helps to be an Oregon resident since you are exempt from Washington’s sales tax).
Upon purchasing my new sweater I spoke with Adam, who owns and operates the shop with his wife Natalie, and discovered that the store has two locations: Madrona and downtown. Unfortunately we were homeward bound the next morning so we didn’t have enough time to pop over to the Madrona location (which I am told has even more inventory to fawn over).
If you find yourself up in the Seattle area Driftwood Consignment needs to be added to your to do list.

Graduation...
Graduation is not exactly one of those occasions where you're called upon to exhibit your remarkable wardrobe. (And ladies, there is no way to put that cap on your head and have it look attractive, so just let it go). However while you are marching in procession with your gown on, the one accessory that makes a statement is your footwear. That is why I chose these slightly sophisticated slightly vintage-y slightly clogg-y slightly-heely little numbers to prance across the stage in. Thank goodness I didn't trip.

Add to Wish List...
I often walk by Nordstrom downtown and gazed at their window displays. Yesterday as I was strolling over to Director's park, I passed this Individualist display as it was being dusted. Now if only my bank account would enable me to call that mini with a turtleneck my very own. Sigh.

Mod Party
Most Portlanders (myself included) are recovering from an action-packed weekend. Friday evening kicked off Fashion’s Night Out, MusicFest Northwest was in full swing and PICA’s TBA was not to be missed. Amongst all the happenings I found myself buried under piles of final project preparations and orders of barbera and calamari.
However, not to be completely dissuaded by an overwhelming workload I managed to sneak out of the apartment for some R&R at my friend’s mod housewarming. I just wanted to share with you a few of the chic ensembles that some of the guests sported. And unfortunately I was only able to snap a picture of the host’s final costume change: the fat suit. She had at least four outfits throughout the course of the croquet tournament in the front yard.
Let's just say I am thankful not to be on the housekeeping committee. Friday, September 10, 2010

Portfolio Preview
These are a few shots of the sportswear line I am working on, an oversized hoodie and briefs (meant to be worn under your skirt, but they look smashing as hot pants too)! Wish me luck!

Fall Approaching...
With graduation approaching I have been neglecting to post. But here is a quick snapshot of things to come in my portfolio.
Cheers!
