Tropical Breakfast


About 2 weeks ago we were having dinner at Ping. (Which is one of our favorite spots to go when I have a night off). Anyhow, after our dinner, the bartender introduced us to kaya, a coconut jam. Delicious. It also helps that I am a coconut fanatic. But this stuff is seriously delectable. Made of coconut milk, eggs, sugar, water and starch. You spread it on toast and you can almost feel the trade winds. (A slight exaggeration, but you are catching my drift).

We were hooked. So, on our way home from Seattle a couple Sundays ago, we stopped at Uwajimaya and found some. It was around $5, I think. But worth every nickel.
